La Festa dell'Epifania
Today is La Festa dell'Epifania! It's the 12th day of Christmas and marks the day when the wise men, bearing gifts, arrived at the manger. In the Italian legend, La Befana met the wise men on their way to see Baby Jesus. They asked her to come along but she declined. She later decided to go but even though she followed the star she never finds him. Now children leave out their shoes on Epiphany eve and La Befana flys on her broomstick delivering sweets to those who have been good or coal to those who have been naughty!
